Very reasonable prices compared to other vets in the area. Staff is courteous and caring. You may have to wait a bit of you're a walk-in. They treated my cat Socks really well, gave vaccines, and did FIV test. He had to be boarded for nearly a week (due to fumigation of my apartment), and everyone treated him like a VIP -- he got lots of attention! Thanks Signal Hill staff, we appreciate all your work!
They take good care of our cats. Yes, lab tests are expensive. But if they fix your sick cats, and they fixed three of ours, then it is worth it. Sometimes the cats forget that they used to like going to the vet.
I live in La Crescenta but we drove to Signal Hill because we knew we would be taken care of. We were quoted exactly what we paid, however our yorkie needed 7 extractions and the Dr. Called and gave us a discount due to the easy nature of the extractions. Fair and Caring!!!!! Our pet hospital for life. Thank you again team.
EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. I brought my kitty Bubba there for a follow up after he was lost and I got him home from the pound. He has an ulcer behind his eye assumed to be associated with herpes, an Upper Respiratory Infection which is highly contagious to my other cats, and he was already treated for mange and cured. My appt here was at 11:20 but they didn’t see him until 11:50. The vet didn’t even address anything but the fact he has missing hair which is ALOPECIA. She took a skin scrape to test for mange AGAIN. I brought his entire medical record which clearly stated he was cured for mange. They took him to the back, to do the scrape, and didn’t bring him back. Then finally I flagged down somebody who said the doctors went to lunch at 12. I waited another 40 minutes before they finally met us out back to give me my cat. And I was charged almost $140 FOR NOTHING!!!!!! They never even addressed the ulcer in his eye, the URI that my other cats are at risk of getting. I asked them to give him his doxycycline which the animal control had given for the URI; and they didn’t. I had to tell her again before we took him home. I’m disgusted they completely neglected my poor boy. Now I have to find another vet to help us. I don’t have a car and it was hard enough getting him over to this place just to be treated like they were more concerned about taking their lunch than helping him.
What a nightmare. The vet called and told me our kitty had diabetes. It was a mistake. There was a mixup. Someone else's cat was not treated immediately, and our cat could have been killed if treated immediately with insulin. This could have been easily prevented if they were more organized, more systematic in their paper trail, but the doctor was handed someone else's lab results with my phone number on it. The doc did not use the pet's name, or my name, during the call. I was in shock and didn't notice this until later. People, always ask if they are talking about your pet!
I asked her to hold off on insulin treatment because we had already discussed that if our 11yo cat had a chronic disease that requires expensive treatment for the rest of her life, we would sadly have to say goodbye and put her to sleep. This means that someone else's pet did not receive treatment immediately for ketoacidosis. I don't know what happened to Zeus, the other cat. If the doc had said, :"Zeus has diabetes" instead of "your kitty has diabetes", then of course the mistake would have been known immediately.
Mistakes happen, I get it. I sympathize with being understaffed and overworked. I get it. They're very busy, trying to help a lot of families who love animals. But it is not just that. They are disorganized. They do not have sound business habits. You should use the pet's name when you deliver a diagnoses. You should call back when you have left someone on hold and they get disconnected. You should have a way to know who called. You should check voicemail left in the early evening, telling the doctor that you think the kitty has garlic poisoning.
I called again first thing in the morning and asked them to tell the doctor that immediately because it can be deadly. Hours later when I got in to speak in person with the doctor, she still had not received that message.
The only good thing I can report is that the doctor had the decency to keep our kitty another night for hydration and observation, and not charge more.
I paid $800 for this nightmare. I am still shaken by this experience and feel compelled to inform the community.
Thankfully, our cat does not have any chronic illness. She had an acute case of irritated bowels caused by sharing my trout dinner with her.
This is the absolute worse facility ever! They are rude and have no compassion! They killed my precious angel! Their technician that administered the shots to my dog accidentally hit an artery and my dog rapidly declined and I had to rush her to another ER vet and they cost save her due to the negligence and lack of training to their technician. I highly advise everyone to warn anyone you know to never take their pets here! I am going to sue this facility and shut this business down! I hate you all for what you have done to me and my family and what you did to my perfectly healthy baby girl! You will be shut down! You’re an evil facility that should never be allowed to touch another animal!
Wouldn’t leave them any stars if I could would be all negative worst experience-nightmare took a sick kitten I took in to supposedly tested positive for parvo they gave an estimate which they never gave me a copy .Never once I left the kitten there for treatment no one called to let me know how he was or if he needed
other treatments I called every day to find out how he was since they are so negative saying he might make it or not to find out he supposedly got blood transfusions and that he had tapeworms I asked if he was going to get treatment for parasites that they would get back to me which they never did.Saturday I get a call he’s ready for pick up then I asked questions about treatment and that they should of reached out to me which they never did very disappointing on how they run and handled the whole situation.I ended up paying almost 2,000 dollars very disorganized place I couldn’t get answers on what was done or if it truly got done I felt overcharged angry that they didn’t care or treat me/kitten like we mattered. Took 2 hours to get my kitten or any explanations on anything so don’t waste your money/time or your pets health to these people who can’t take the time to follow up or talk to you also vet was ridiculous rush to even talk to me. Very disgusting and disappointing on how they operate there whole office .
Took my dog on Saturday and paid over $500. Just the consult was $230!
While I was there waiting to have my dog seen for her issue, there were two dog owners with the names of Holly and Jali. The office attendants had charged their owners the other dog's fees. The manager caught the error and brought it to the ladies attention.
Fast forward to today and I’m still waiting to hear about my dog’s lab work! I called and they don’t even say please hold! They just put you on hold without greeting. There’s serious customer service issues here! For the prices they charge, it shouldn’t be this way!
